Sealants are commonly delivered through a syringe, but this can sometimes create voids or excess material which requires adjustment. Champ™ Pit & Fissure Sealant from Centrix is a single-unit sealant with a brush applicator. It is a bioactive, light-cured sealant, and it does not require a bonding agent. Instead, the clinician just needs to etch, rinse, apply, and cure. Champ also releases fluoride and phosphate over time.
Note: for those who prefer syringe delivery, Champ will be available in a syringe in July 2021.
Initial Insights
- When I use flowable, I dispense it and then use a brush. This has it all in one place!
- It would be interesting to see research on the fluoride and phosphate release over time; if it’s longer than other products, I would switch!
- Please include etchant in the kit.
