Bruxism, which can cause sensitivity and damage to the teeth, is a common finding in the pediatric patient. Sova® Junior Night Guard by Akervall Technologies, Inc. is a remoldable occlusal splint designed specifically for children. Traditional night guards are both expensive and impractical for a child with mixed dentition. The Sova® Junior Night Guard can be molded as needed to fit the growing jaws and changing teeth of children ages six to eleven. Impressions are not needed and the guard can be worn on the upper or lower arch. The material is BPA, latex, phthalate, and PVC free.
