Many hygienists have experienced prophy paste spatter. Young Dental designed a disposable prophy angle (DPA) to combat this issue. Splatter Guard is designed to work at its best when used with the Infinity Cordless Hygiene Handpiece by Young Dental, but it can reportedly fit just about any hygiene handpiece. It has a webbed cup for prophy paste and a little fin just underneath to help catch splatter. It is available in two sizes.

Initial Insights
- There was absolutely no chatter and it was incredibly smooth and quiet when I used it with the Young Infinity handpiece.
- We tried a brightly-colored prophy paste so we could see if there was any splatter – there wasn’t!
- It felt really gentle on my teeth; it didn’t vibrate at all!
